Aunque no eran tan audazmente innovadores como The Beatles o tan popular como The Rolling Stones o The Who, The Kinks fueron una de las bandas más influyentes de la invasión británica. Como la mayoría de las bandas de su época, los Kinks comenzaron R & B Blues.
